Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Facts of case:

Divorced 3 years ago, came to a joint custody agreement

Both had petitions to modify last year

Judge awarded sole custody to me (the father) and final order has been entered (I am aware they have 30 days to appeal)

I work full time and have had to work extra to pay my lawyer

A week prior to ex filing she became a "Stay at home mom" but her husband has considerable wealth

Since my ex is getting her money from someone else (her current spouse) and I am busting my *** trying to pay for my lawyer, would I be able to ask for interim fees if they appeal?

Which part of level the playing field would apply as I am aware there are several amendments but am not Legally versed to go through all the nice wording.

Thank you for your time!
