Guardian

how do you apply for guardianship for a family memeber who is unable to communicate. Can a lay person file for this with retaining a lawyer? If you need a lawyer how do you get one on limited funds.

Seek the assistance of the Office of Public Guardian in your area (many counties have someone appointed to this post), or call the Illinois Attorney General�s Guardianship & Advocacy Commission (web address ) at 312-793-5908.
