Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Me and my husband are separated and plan on getting divorced. I went and and filed for child support which I got. My husband changed his life insurance policy from work to make his sister beneficiary. What if my husband dies?? Will my child support be cut off? Or can I make his sister give me some of the money she collects? What are my options if he dies as I depend on his child support payments to live.

You may have put the cart before the horse . In oyur divorce you can ask gthe court to order him to change the beneficiary back to you or to you as trustee for the benefit of your kid.
