Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have been living apart from my spouse with my girlfriend for the last 8 almost 9 years. Every time I get a divorce going my spouse moves to delay the divorce process by not receiving the paperwork. Can I instead do the publication route to get the divorce moving?

All you have to do is serve her with a summons if you know where she lives. You have a duty to diligently attempt to locate her. If you can not locate her or find out from a third party where she is living, then you can serve her by publication.
