Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My mom bought half of 15 acers then she married the man that owned the other half he past away after 23 years of marriage but he didn't have a will but he had 2 daughters now they are trying to get the land I don't think they have any rights what do you think?

Unless they did something more, the property did not pass to your Mom alone. If she owns half and he owns half before the marriage, unless he had a will leaving the property to her, his half passers 1/2 to Mom and 1/2 to his daughters.
