Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Two months ago I gave my ex-husband custody of my 15 year old daughter because she chose to stay in Illinois. I moved to Florida due to my husbands job change from Illinois to Florida. I've changed my mind and want to return to Illinois and get physical residential custody back. Can the judgement be reversed once it was made? We have joint custody.

If there was a court order transferring your daughter's possession to your ex-husband, then it could be argued that you can do nothing for two years. In addition you have an obligation under your joint custody order to mediate this dispute. You can not simply ask the court for her "back." Does she want to go to FL with you? Is this remorse on your part? It is not easy to undo what you have done.
