Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hello, I need to know the process of child support and getting the father to take a DNA test. How much does a lawyer charge to help get this done without having to wait a year to get help through the state?

Every lawyer charges differently. Lawyers set their own fees, Some are more than others. Some less. Father may acknowledge parentage so that there is no need for a DNA test. The money you spend will be made back in the simple fact of any money you are awarded will be retroactive to the date Dad is served, at a minimum, assuming Dad is working at a W2 job. If he is working for cash or not working, there will be problems.
