If you have a "proper" joint custody agreement, the agreement contains a mediation provision for situations such as this. If you and your ex can not agree on a modification, then you should attempt tp mediate the issue. If she refuses to mediate or of you can not then come to an agreement, then you should hire an attorney and file a motion to modify the visitation. As it is you who are leaving the state, what do you propose for your visitation? Obviously you are not getting alternate weekend visitation, And you will have to pay transportation expenses for the visitation.
