Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

If I took my son's father to court for child support, can he AUTOMATICALLY get visitation in the state of IL?

Doesn't he have to file to get visitation?

The correct answer is yes, but judges sometimes ignore that requirement. If you have no basis for denying him visitation, then a court wants to have kids know their dads (usually) only if you have something legally sufficient to be a basis for denying visitation will a court not rule. That is not the law, but that is what usually happens. And if you complain the judge may take it out on you.
