Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

i have a studnet who;s mother passed away. Student is disabled and aged out of the system. Custody battle between mother's sister and mother's live in boyfriend (20 years). There have been continuances for 7 months. I have sent letters of support and appeared twice before the judge, Now comes the "rory" hearing. I have been told by my administration to not go as I could jeoparise my teaching position. Would it be permissible for me to telephone to judge prior to the hearing and speak with her privately? I support the "father."

NO NO NO. To do you is totally improper. If someone had wanted you there they could have subpoenaed you to appear, and then the school administration would have no basis for complaint. The judge will not talk to you.
