Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Can I get a temporary legal custody overturned? My daughter signed temporary custody of her youngest child (3 years old) over to a friend of the family. Her grandfather and I have been raising her 9 year old daughter since birth. She is an addict and I finally got tired of her stealing from me and using the children to manipulate me so I stopped talking to her (although her father and she still talk). The sisters are always crying for each other. Is there anything I can do?

Depends. You say your daughter "signed temporary custody" of her youngest child to a friend. What steps did your daughter take to "sign temporary custody" to a friend? Did your daughter go to court? Or did she just sign a piece of paper? Call me at 312-372-5600 to discuss further.
