Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

in 2007 I bought a car from Enterprise. I sold that car to another individual in the fall of 2009. Since then, a title has not been able to be produced. The bank I got my car loan through never received a title and now it can not be located. I'm being threatened with a lawsuit for selling a car without a title. Can I turn around and sue Enterprise?

First you can call the Secretary of State and find out whose name the title is under. Then you can order a duplicate title and have the titleholder sign it over properly.
