Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
My boss hit me in the face when he was drunk. I was the bartender and did nothing to provoke him. He has displayed aggressive behavior before but this is the first time he has hit me. I don't have a mark but I have witnesses. Is there any legal action I can take?

Yes, you can file a criminal complaint and may have a claim for a civil suit as well.
