I am, for both US & international matters, including protection, transfers, licenses and enforcement, I have published articles and practice guides on US copyrights (such as an oft cited article i wrote on protection of copyrights in sound recordings). I have also worked on cases involving the interplay between international treaties, accords and trade pacts and the legal protection afforded to intellectual properties under various countries' codes and laws. I've even has to deal with the difference between Napoleonic and common law.

With that said, I offer one piece of free advice. Determine the amount of monetary damage and its recover-ability before engaging counsel (vast information to be had at www.copyright.gov). Copyrights are property. Their use and protection are a business. Enforcement is undertaking using a cost/benefit analysis. Don't get involved in any case because you want revenge or justice. We can't get you justice, we can only get you compensation.
