Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Educational Assistance Form

My employer paid for me to get my MBA. For each class, I had to sign an agreement that if I left within 2 years, I would have to pay back the amount that they paid. Is this agreement binding? If so, is there any $ limit or time limit for which this is enforceable?

Re: Educational Assistance Form

Yes it is binding. The dollar limit depends on the contract. As for a written contract, there is a 10 year statute of limitation to enforce it.
