Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I'm a massage therapist. I make a specific wage per session but I've noticed every time the company runs a special for the day I make up to $2 less for the massage. If I see a client that presents a coupon at time of pay same thing. They deduct $1.50 from my session. They do this without consent and without informing me. Is this legal?

If you're an employee, your employer cannot make deductions from your wages under the circumstances which you describe.
