Can my son legally leave work to get treatment for a gaming addiction caused by depression and not lose his job? He need to get treatment for 45 days.

You son needs to have a heart to heart talk with his employer. He needs to present medical evidence of his condition and a prescription in writing from his doctor for the treatment. If the treatment is medically necessary the employer should accommodate the request but it may be LWOP - leave without pay. I would try to schedule the treatment during his leisure hours.
