Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

The lease for the apartment I'm renting is up in July. I don't want to live with my current roommate anymore so the I told her she's they are not renewing the lease on her end. The landlord has had issues with her as well so he agreed not to renew the lease for her once it's up. She is now irate and is fighting me on it, saying that I agreed to have her pet live with us so that she should have the right to renew in July. I say that she has no such right and neither I, who found the apartment, or the landlord has a responsibility to renew.

You are in Chicago. If the CRLTO (Chicago Residential Landlord & Tenant Ordinance) applies to the apartment, the landlord is obligated to give a minimum 60-days' witten notice of non-renewal. If this has not happened, you may be being taken too.
