Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Can my employer cut my hours from 8 a day to 1 1/2 because of certain restrictions I recently got from my doctor, all because of an on-the-job injury? I have an accepted claim. I have no problem working 8, and doing quite a lot, I am just waiting for approval for surgery.Other employees were sent home and are being coerced to modify their documentation or they can't return. We believe they are being set up to get injured even further, that way they will be fired completely. Can they do this legally?

If your doctor has imposed some restrictions, your employer has no choice but to follow the restriction and limit the hours you can work. Doing otherwise, will open them up to getting sued.

You need to follow your doctor's advice as well if you want to make sure that your worker's compensation claim will be properly processed.
