Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Injury

I got hurt at work over 3 years ago I have had 3 operations on my back due to this injury and my emploier has told me that due to my limitions becouse of this injury There is not a job for me and my place has been fild. I have been on TTD for all this time.My question is what I entitald to in the long run. I have been told a wage imparment is all.What do you think...Thank you for any help.

This is a complex situation and you should consult an attorney. If your work related injury has resulted in your not being able to return to your prior job - you may ask the insurance company to assist you in finding a new job - this is called vocational rehabilitation. In that case, as you pointed out, once you find a new job, you could be due benefits for your wage loss difference (assuming there is one) for the rest of your life. There are situations where employers are justified in terminating employees however. Generally, they cannot fire you due to a work related injury. This depends on many variables and I suggest you consult with an attorney.
