order of protection

ok the other night my dad threw me around alot in his house and in a parking lot of a movie theator my parent are divorced and i have not seen him for 5 months untill last night the 26 of january and he ripped clothing and left marks but im 16 and i want to get an order of protection against him. can i do this? and how would i start by doing this?
