Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

While parked at work, my van was damaged by a power line that snapped and fell onto my van, breaking the side window and denting the door. My question is, can I recoup my losses thru the electric company or village? We were on a high wind warning that day, but this will be the 3rd year in a row that this power line has had to be repaired because it keeps breaking. There isnt a whole lot of damage, I have a 500 deductable, but thats not the point, why should I have to pay it. I feel if the electric company fixed it right the first time, it would keep breaking on windy or snowy days. Thanks for any help you can give

Com Ed does have a claims process. Village probably has nothing to do with this as the poles are likely ComEd's. Try ComEd.
