Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Fraud

I own a property with my mother and father and my mother attempted to get me to sign a quit claim deed by telling me what I was signing was a Trust to protect the property when in fact I would have been signing away my rights to the property. She also tricked my father into signing Quit Claim deeds for 3 other properties that they own jointly. Do we have any legal recourse?

Re: Fraud

A quit claim deed is evidence of the signer's intent, but can be contested if it was signed under questionable circumstances. Such a transfer of property usually requires some type of payment, and if the signer received nothing then that is evidence that there was not an intent to transfer the interest in the property.
