Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

i just moved in and signed a lease at the office not at the house, 2 days later after moving in the gas could not be turned on becuase of a carbon monoxide leak and the building was shut down. the hole had been hidden and covered up by door screens. also there were no smoke or carbon detectors in the house which i signed and one of their representatives signed the lease saying that there was. plus my stove was unhooked from the gas pipe like they new about it. also my shower is now broke which they said they fixed the whole bathroom. what can i do to get out of this lease that i have not even been to for a week? should i sue?

It depends on whether the lease is for the house or the office. If the lease is for the place you are living you have a better case because there is a certain standard of habitability that must be maintained.
