Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

So I purchased a motorcycle from someone in Iowa today, but the title is not in his name. I have a bill of sale between person A (whose name is on the title) and person B (who sold me the bike) and a bill of sale between person B and myself. I also have the original title. Is this enough to prove the bike is mine and get it registered in my name?

Look on the back of the title. There are places for assignment of title. It should show a signed assignment from A to B signed by A, and then from B to you signed by B. If so, that with a bill of sale should be enough. If NOT, you will need to go to the Secretary of State but generally without a full chain, you can't register.
