Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Suspended License

I need legal representation for Watseka IL which is in Iroquois county IL. I received a ticket for not yielding to emergency vehicle on the highway in this county and was written a ticket for it. They never rcvd contesting forms or money in the amount of time given so it became suspended. This county is about 2 hours away from me, I dont have a way of getting there to file a motion to open the case up and explain this and why I need my license. I paid this ticket with the assumption that it would renew it. Secretary of state shows automatic suspension for 3 months. I need to get my son back and forth to school and I have to drive to work.

Re: Suspended License

Unfortunately when you pay the fine on a ticket you are admitting your guilt to the offense. You would need to have the judgment of guilt vacated before arguing why you did not commit the offense.
