Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

I was named as executor for a relative. The papers were written up but did not get signed before she passed away. Are the papers written up by the attorney enforceable to make me the executor?

No. A Will must be properly executed to be valid. If there was a prior executed valid Will, that would control, otherwise the intestacy laws would control.
