Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Probate: Executor's Final Report

When is the Executor's Final Report filed at the courthouse? After all of the heirs have signed off, or before that time? I have received my copy, but when I requested a certified, filed copy from the Circuit Clerk's office, I was told that the Final Report had not been filed with the court yet.

Re: Probate: Executor's Final Report

The Final Report is generally the last document that is filed before the Probate Estate is closed.

In the normal course of events, the final report is circulated so that the beneficiaries have a chance to object, if warranted.

Hope this helps.
