Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

injured at work

Last year I broke my foot while doing landscaping for work. The company had a management contract with the owners of the property and I reported that the curbs needed repaired to the owners and my supervisor. I had two surgeries on my foot and was told that i would lose some of the flexability and that the pain would go away in a couple of months so far it hasn't and its been 8 mo. Also workers comp hasn't paid all the bills and I've been sent to collections for them. What are my options?

Re: injured at work

Your option is very clear.

You must speak to an attorney and find out why the WC insurance has failed to fulfill its duty to pay ALL your medical bills, most of your wage loss and other possible damages.

You should never let an insurance adjuster tell you what you are entitle to. You know as well as anyone that an insurance adjuster's only loyalty is to the company that signs his or her paychecks and certainly not you.

I hope this helps,
