Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

workers comp question

my situation is that I turned in a comp claim about a month ago, when I was at work I was working in an attic and my foot went through the ceicling and pulled a ligament in my knee. I went to the doctor and so far it hasnt hurt too bad but in the meantime I got a pinched nerve in my neck. I went to the doctor again but not saying it was workers comp, they took x-rays and told memy vertebrae is piching a nreve in my neck and I will have to see a neurologist and it was probably caused by something traumaticin the past. After i thought about it, I did file a workers comp fall in 2000 when I fell off a ladder about 10 feet and hurt my neck. At the time I went to a company doctor and they just put oe on therapy for a few weeks. my question is, do you think that this is a legitimate claim that I have and how I would go about turning it in?

Re: workers comp question

Any workers compensation claim must be filed within 3 years of the injury. If this occurred 7 years ago, it is likely too late to file a claim. My office would be happy to speak with you regarding this claim to examine it in greater detail.
