workers compensation

my husband has injured his back we know that it happened at work but he never reported it. the company continues to have him do jobs that he should not be doing with his injury. the company is aware of his back problems but still makes him do things he shouldn't. my husbands doctor has stated that he is getting worse. do we have a leg to stand on if we were to sue the company?

Re: workers compensation

Dear Sirs:

Under Illinois law, a report of injury must be filed within forty-five days of an accident in order to recover workmen's compensation benefits.

Such notice can be verbal as well as written.

Your husband may therefore have a case.

Should you wish to discuss, please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely,

Law Offices
