Legal Question in Consumer Law in India

Dear Sir,

I have given a post dated cheque dated 30-SEP-09 on 13-AUG-09 towards ICICI Credit Card Payment for amount Rs10,000/-. I have a doubt that, without my knowledge some body might have did the manipulations on my cheque leap. That cheques was submitted in AUG month only which got bounced, where as my cheque is of 30-SEP-09. Regarding the same I have informed the bank people and gave request letter to them for cheque leap return. Till date they have not handed over my cheque leaps back.

How should I go further, will it be possible for me to take any action against bank. I have all proofs with me. I appreciate in advance for your valuable suggestion.

Thanks

Kumar

If the cheque was meant for discharging of any liability, and the cheque was bounced for

insufficient fund, then you shall be given a chance to compensate the said amount,

by a written notice and on your failing you may be subject of violation of Negotiable

Instruments Act, what worries you is not clear?
