Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

i am in situation where i am facing NIA 138 on one hand and on the other the party has also registered a criminal case against me under different clauses. in the criminal case also, the party has mentioned the details of cheques. My question is could i seek any stay on the proceedings of NIA 138 till the other case (having mention of the same cheques) does not settle? or there is any possibility of quashing of the NIA 138, as there cannot be two cases for the same claim?

you may approach the high court for quashing of summoning order and seek stay in the meantime.

Better option could be to apply for clubbing and joint trial of such similar cases.
