Legal Question in Employment Law in India
Sir,
I am staying in Kerala, India.Till recently I had 4.25 acres of rubber estate which I sold few days before. I employed a person for tapping work since 2005 to 2011. I was paying him on daily wage basis. Tapping work will not be there for 3 months in a year during summer. As a good will I paid Rs. 15000/- on me selling the estate. Now he has approached Labour Officer for compensation. By any law whether he is eligible for any compensation and if so at what rate?
Please reply me at the earliest as I have received communication from the Labour Officer.
