Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
My name is Saraswathi. My hubby expired last year. He has not written any Will for the property that he owns. I and my children are legal heirs of him. Now, how to get it transfered to my name.
Please suggest?

as rightly suggested above, you may file a petition for succession by approaching a local lawyer.
You dont have to file any suit anywhere ,you can just to file an affidavit to the concerned corporation by saying that you and your children are the legal heirs of your deceased husband and the corporation would do the needful. Succession certificate is only for moveable property(ies) and not for immoveable property . SHOCKED to see the knowledge of so called lawyers. How many years they have put in the profession ,it is everybody is guess.
