Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I am being sued for a private student loan by NCSLT and filed a motion to dismiss based on the statute of limitations. I appeared at a hearing and the judge gave the attorney time to answer my defense. Since then they have answered stating that since my loans were put in forbearance the time started over again and that technically they are still within the statute of limitation. I want to make sure I am looking at the correct state for my argument. Does the SOL apply to the state I live in, the state where the loan originated or where it is now being serviced?
