Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

In 2006 I was arrested for possession of marijuana. All I had was an empty "onehitter." It's out of a different county. Today I received a tip, that yesterday a warrant was issued for me for failure to appear.

I thought I had paid my fine. I know I spent 5 days in jail. Now they say I owe $604 for the warrant to be lifted... what can I do? I'm laidoff and can't really afford to, but I plan on paying the $604 as soon as I can, but I was under the impression that the whole situation had been dealt with. I never received anything about another court date, and my probation officer had told me, I was done. I guess my question is, what are my options?

I'm not a trouble maker, and definitely not a criminal.

Call your probation officer and find out if there was a mixup. If you owe money, see if the court would accept community service instead due to your financial situation or a lenghty payment plan.
