Legal Question in Immigration Law in Indiana

Sponsorship

I need to know how many people a person can sponsor. I am not talking about in a family either. I am trying to get my husband here and we have found a man who is willing to sponsor him but he is already sponsoring 4 other people. Can he sponsor another person? He is qualified in the financial aspect to do this. He is by all means able to financially handle the responsibility but is there a limit to how many people a person can sponsor?

Re: Sponsorship

The sponser will need to list all immigrants he has previously sponsored, and they will be counted when calculated the income level provided. However, there is no cut-off number, beyond the level he can show financial ability to cover.

Best wishes and good luck in bringing your husband here.

Re: Sponsorship

Generally, there is no limit as to the number of people one can sponsor on an Affidavit of Support (I-864.) As long as the financial sponsor can prove income and financial wherewithal.
