Landlord/Tenant Issue

My landlord sent me a certified letter stating to be out by May 31st got the letter on May 9th, I have 2 children, how long do I have to leave and is there anything I can do about it?

Consult your local tenant's union or legal aid hot line, but in the meantime, start looking for another apartment. You might be able to negotiate a longer stay, but don't count on it.

You should have an experienced real estate attorney review your lease and the relevant statute.

Are you at the end of the lease term or failed to pay any rent>?

You may be able to assert insufficient NOTICE.
