Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Me & my 5 siblings have joint ownership of my mom's property when she died which is 10 acres in Brown County. My brother has been living there paying only the property taxes for the past several years. He now is refusing to pay the property taxes and has let the house go with no heat no running water and literally should not be habitable. I am the executor of the estate so how do I go about selling the property with my siblings with only a few of us talking to each other?

Unless the estate is still open (very unlikely after several years), you need to file a partition action, which will result in sale of the property and division of the proceeds among the owners. You do not anyone else's cooperation to get this done, but should consult with an attorney in Brown County.

If you're the executor of the estate, there should be an estate filed in court and there should be an attorney assisting you. This isn't a do-it-yourself project. You can sell the property and evict anyone, but it will take the services of an attorney to make any things happen. If you haven't gone to an attorney, you should have done so years ago.
