Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

We are hoping to sell a house on contract to a friend of the family. We do not have a license under the Safe Act, and we did not live in this house. We were going to have a lawyer draw up the needed paperwork, but then I read on a few sites that we are not allow to sell this house to our friend because we are not licensed under the Safe Act. The house is in Indiana. Is it legal for us to sell this house as long as an attorney does the contract?

You should have an attorney review all of the facts and background and advise you as to whether you have any duties or liabilities. Then, he can prepare the necessary paperwork and documents to effect the sale and protect you.
