Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

My father died in Indianapolis this month. He was married to my stepmother but had not lived with her for over 9 years. He maintained a separate home and accounts and had several girlfriends since their separation. When my brother sister and I traveled from out of state to attend the funeral this week and our stepmother would not let us see any of our dad's things, give us the name of her lawyer, she claims there is no will and no life insurance and will not give us even a basic list of assets. There are some things we know he had, but she was very stoic. I have heard rumor about estrangement laws and the fact that they had no children, but I am pretty much lost when it comes to how to proceed. I have a feeling that she is trying to cheat my sibling and me out of any inheritance. What can I do?
