Legal Question in Consumer Law in Iowa

mortgage fraud victim

I am a victim of fraud in which the case is now in a class action lawsuit against john davis and christine frank here in des moines iowa by the attorney generals office they are seeking restitution, but they are saying that this good be another year before there is resolution - while both me and my brothers family (we both purchased a home from there) are stuck with foreclosures on our record and no home to call our own. I had to move in with my brther for 10 mnths until me and my family found a place to rent and now my brother and his family is living with us. I spoke to the attorney ystrdy and he said that this should be an open and shut case. My question is do you think a private attorney would or could expedite resolution, and is there some documentation that we can turn into credit reporting agencies or mortgage lenders so they don't hold this against us,so that we can begin looking for a new home. Due to the class action lawsuit - can we still be considered first home buyers! please respond.

Re: mortgage fraud victim

Your private attorney would be looking out for your own best interest, whereas the government attorney is looking out for their client, the state, first and you second. So if there is something to be done to help you now, your own attorney would find it and do it.
