Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

We were credited money and the agency made a mistake and wants it back

A recovery agency credited our checking account $1000 over a period of a couple months. I thought it was money that was due. A few months later they said 'we made a mistake, please pay back the money' Are we required to re-pay the money, due to their neglagance?

WITH NO OTHER FACTS TO DRAW UPON, YES YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY IT BACK UNDER EQUITABLE DOCTRINE OF UNJUST ENRICHMENT, EXTRA ORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES COULD EXCUSE YOU, BUT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE RESEARCHED
