Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I'm in the midst of a custody battle for my 6 month old son. The father has now filed his 3rd and 4th motion for contempt. It's like he just keeps throwing stuff to see what will stick. I know I'm doing no wrong. However, the first and only possible shot he has at finding me in contempt, is that I was 8 minutes late one morning, coming from the hospital. I did message him and let him know this. I think this is asinine , but my question is , well, 2 parts.. . Would a judge ACTUALLY punish me for something so miniscule, despite it not being something in my control.. 2nd , is there something I can say or do or ask the judge about the consistent ridiculous motion for contemps he's filing? It's stressful, time consuming, pointless, and I feel he is truly having fun with them.

You can allege abuse of process. It's a pretty tough hill to climb though. I would suggest you retain an attorney if you have not already done so.
