Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

I own ~22 acres of heavily forested land, that is taxed and appraised under forest reserve status, in Iowa. Will taking the land out of 'forest reserve' status change the value of the land if I sell it? The property appraisal site for Cedar County shows the value of the property dropping quite a bit when it was put in to forest reserve. Any help would be appreciated.
