Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Kansas

I signed a year lease at an apartment in Kansas City, Ks but am having problems getting things fixed in the apartment. I've talked to management about sliding glass door with white hard water or something between the panes that block the view its so bad and they agreed to fix but would be a while. Its been months and not even measurements have been made. Now submitted online a request for that as well as freezing fridge or spoil fridge, and a constant running toilet. No progress has been made on any. What actions should I take and can I break my lease?

You have several possible options. You can write to the landlord, with repair estimates from several contractors, that if they dont fix that item within thurty days, you wil have that repair made, and subtract that amount from the following month's rent payment. That may spur the landlord to action, as they can likely get the repair done for less you can. You might opt to hire an attorney to write to the landlord to speed up repairs, or sue for the beach of the duty to rep as ir. If you just declare a breach, and mive out, you may not avoid liability fir future rent.

Good luck
