Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas

I own a house and an adjacent lot. None of the house or any appurtenance is on the adjacent lot. It is a buildable lot. Both lots are on the deed tot he house and have been treated as one parcel for a number of years. Can I separate the two lots using two separate Quit claim deeds each showing the present owner and each showing the owner to whom the specif ic lot is being deeded to? The lots wuld then be two separte parcels, right?
