Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas

I put in my 60 day notice and 30 days into it there was a plumbing leak. Maintenance came out and tore a hole in my wall and told me not to use either of the two bathrooms in the apartment. I started moving out quickly when there was black mold found inside the wall around the hole because I'm 7 months pregnant and it was making me sick.

I finally was able to get the leasing team to let me out of the last months rent because of the unlivable conditions (mold and no working bathroom) in the townhouse, however, I had paid them $900 to get out of my lease and they also kept my $200 deposit.

Should pursue asking for the $1100 to be returned to me because if I hadn't broken my lease, I would have had to anyway because of the unlivable conditions of the home.
