Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

I want my money

Can this be done:My mom committed suicide 9/14/07. I was told there was no note as well as police and all family members (my stepfather found her)today I was trying to find her life insurance policy (which was there a week ago and now is missing) so that I could let them know what had happened. She has had the policy with farm bureau for a few decades (takes out the suicide clause). While looking for these papers I found a yellow paper in with some other papers its says: ''You'll be so much happier-tell--name removed--I'm sorry and that Love him very much'' and then in big letters ''BYE'' and then at the bottom it says ''You hate me and I can't live without you''. You could see why my stepfather would not want anyone to know about this note. On her policy he is the primary and I am the contingent. I would like to remove him as primary he deserves none of this money and I think he would possibly settle out of court with that. However the house was in both of there names so the house would be half mine I presume. I have not seen the will but I will within the next few days. I want to get what is mine and leave. Also I have the note which no one knows about. I am the only child. Please help.

Re: I want my money

You may want to make a photocopy of the yellow paper you described, and then give it to the police. The house may or may not be passing half to you. You have provided no facts that give grounds for removing your stepfather from the title to the house.

Good Luck
